Paid and Unpaid Defaults
Defaults can be listed on a consumer credit file when an account (over $150.00) has been due for over 60 days and the creditor has complied with their legislative requirements prior to listing the default against a consumer.
Removal of defaults from a credit file/report may be possible where the creditor has failed to comply with the legislative requirements and mistakenly reported a default against an individual.
First, it must be established that an error has been made by a creditor before we are able to assist in clearing any default from your file. That’s why we provide AN OBLIGATION FREE CONSULTATION prior to accepting any fees, or taking a file on.
It is imperative that you speak to us first before paying a default. Doing so will only update the listing to “Paid” and will not remove the default listing from your report, hence, will still cause your detriment.
